Data retention policy — SignReady

Version 1.1, effective 1 October 2026.

Data	How long we keep it
Original uploaded files (TBs, financial statements, client attachments, workings you attach), imported figures, review points, queries, programmes, checklists, drafts	Until you delete the file, the finalisation or all your data — there is no deletion by time while your plan is active. If your plan ends and is not renewed: view-only for 90 days, then permanently deleted 180 days after the plan ended (Partners are emailed 30, 7 and 1 days before).
Remembered ledger mappings and column formats	As above — deleted with the rest of your client data.
Finalisation count records (client + year)	Kept for plan counting; client names are removed when data is deleted.
Account closure	On request to [email protected], client data is deleted within 30 days, and account data except what the law requires us to keep.
Account, payment, tax and acceptance records	As long as your account exists, and afterwards as long as tax, accounting and other laws require.

SignReady is not an archive. Download and keep your own copies of final documents and working papers in your firm's audit file. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

The contents of client documents are not sent to AI services and are not used to train AI models.
